We have all admired a timelapse video of the night sky or a busy city. Time to make our own! But do we really know what timelapse photography really is? How do we get the right result? How and where can it be used, and why is it so popular nowadays?
In this three-day workshop, Christoforos Anagnostopoulos will introduce participants to all the techniques necessary to produce their own timelapse videos. The first day will present all the theoretical background: history, uses, equipment, software, download preparation, camera settings and often errors. The following day, the participants will practice outdoor photography in Athens under the guidance of the rapporteur, while on the last day they will return to the school to edit their images and compile the final result.
Essential equipment includes a simple DSLR or mirrorless camera with an intervalometer or a handheld tripod. On the third day of the seminar students can optionally have a laptop with them for editing pictures. It is aimed at anyone who is familiar with the basic principles of photography and the operation of their camera.
